Rules, obligations, and safety policies governing your access and interaction on the CONNECT SRMAP network.
Effective: Academic Year 2026–27By accessing or creating an account on CONNECT SRMAP, you confirm that you are an enrolled student at SRM University AP and agree to adhere strictly to these terms. This platform is built for peer collaboration, academic growth, and verified campus networking.
1. Account Authenticity & One-Student Policy
Identity verification & credential protection
- Accurate Information: Accounts must be created using the student's authentic University Register Number and official email. Fake personas or parody accounts are strictly prohibited.
- Single Account Ownership: Each student is permitted exactly one active account. Account sharing, leasing, or transferring credentials to third parties is forbidden.
- Security Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity originating from your account.
2. Code of Conduct & Prohibited Activities
Standards for communication and community posts
Users must maintain a respectful and productive academic environment. The following behaviors result in instant account action:
- • Bullying, harassment, hate speech, or stalking
- • Sharing unauthorized personal contact details of others
- • Uploading explicit, vulgar, or copyrighted materials
- • Commercial spam, unauthorized sales, or promotions
- • No sharing live exam/test answer keys during tests
- • Notes and study requests must be educational only
- • Respect fellow students' project contributions
3. Messaging & Connection Governance
Safe communication protocols
To eliminate spam and protect privacy, direct messaging is protected by the Mutual Follow Gateway:
Chat Unlocking:
Conversations and shared attachments only unlock when both parties mutually follow each other. Either party holds the absolute right to unfollow, block, or report an account at any time.
4. File Uploads & Media Policies
File quotas and attachment rules
- File Size Limit: All attachments (PDFs, PPTs, Images) uploaded to Community Posts, Comments, or Chat must not exceed 30MB per file.
- Allowed File Types: Only standard image formats (JPG, PNG, WEBP), Documents (PDF, DOCX), and Presentations (PPT, PPTX) are permitted. Executable files (.exe, .bat, scripts) are strictly rejected.
5. Moderation, Suspension & Account Control
Disciplinary actions and self-deletion rights
You can permanently erase your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. This immediately deletes your profile, posts, connections, and personal records permanently.
Administrators reserve the right to remove content, flag violations, or suspend accounts that repeatedly violate community standards or participate in malicious activity.
6. Platform Purpose & Disclaimer
Educational developer initiative
CONNECT SRMAP is an independent student-led software initiative built to provide verified campus utility tools, timetable aids, and resource sharing for students. While developed with high security standards for the university community, official academic notifications, grading, and administrative announcements should always be cross-referenced with official university communication channels.
