About CONNECT SRMAP

CONNECT SRMAP is a secure, closed-loop digital ecosystem exclusively for SRMAP students.

Unlike public apps, this platform requires Mutual Following to initiate a chat, ensuring you only interact with verified peers who have agreed to connect. It is designed for academic integrity, project collaboration, and verified departmental networking.

Connection Workflow

Discovery

Find classmates using their official University Register Number.

Follow Request

Send a follow request and notify the other user through email.

Mutual Unlock

Chat access unlocks only after both users follow each other.

Smart Reminder

If 3 messages stay unread, an automatic email reminder will be sent.

Interaction Controls

Follow & Unfollow

Following: Allows you to see their status and initiate a connection.
Unfollowing: Removes them from your network. If the connection is no longer mutual, the chat will be locked for both parties.

Block & Unblock

Blocking: Immediately cuts off communication. The blocked user cannot message you, and you will not see their updates.
Unblocking: Restores the ability to interact, provided the mutual follow relationship still exists.

Report Account

Found a violation? Use the Report feature to alert the administration. You are required to submit a valid reason. Reports are reviewed manually by the CONNECT SRMAP team.

Advanced Tools

Message Search

Instantly find text within the chat. Use the Up/Down arrows in the search bar to jump between highlighted matches.

Media & Links Library

Access a filtered grid of all Images, PDFs, and Links shared in the conversation via the sidebar menu.

Clear Chat

Permanently removes message history from your view only. This does not delete the chat for the other participant.

File Policy

To ensure platform stability, uploads are strictly limited to 30MB. Allowed formats: Images (JPG, PNG), Documents (PDF), and Presentations (PPT/PPTX).

Security Notice

Your activity is linked to your official Register Number. All blocks, reports, and malicious actions are permanently logged.
