After The 26-10-2026 Update: Common Questions And Quick Fixes
If Something Looks Different, Start Here
CONNECT SRMAP continues to improve its interface, login experience, navigation, and other features. After an update, you may notice changes in how certain pages open or behave.
This guide explains common questions, what to do if something does not work as expected, and how to contact our support team.
1. The Login Page Looks Different
You may now see several stages during login, including:
A scanning screen.
A verification screen.
A welcome screen with a tick mark.
These screens are part of the updated login experience. If you can log in successfully, there is usually nothing you need to change.
If you cannot proceed beyond one of these screens, follow the troubleshooting steps in the next section.
2. I Cannot Get Past the Scanning Screen
If the login page remains stuck on the scanning screen, try these steps:
Check that your internet connection is working.
Temporarily turn off your ad blocker or strict tracking protection for the site, if enabled.
Select Try Again.
Check that the date and time on your phone or computer are correct.
Try opening CONNECT SRMAP in another browser.
If the problem continues, contact support and explain which screen is stuck.
3. My Saved Password or Login Details Are Gone
Saved login details depend on your browser and device. They are not guaranteed to remain available in every situation.
They may disappear if you:
Clear your browser data.
Switch to another browser.
Use a private or incognito window.
Change browser settings or use a different device.
If you want your browser to remember your login details, select Remember Me during login, where available, and sign in again.
Only save passwords on a device you trust. Avoid saving login details on shared or public computers.
4. Bind Opens on the Home Page
On a laptop or desktop, opening the main Bind page may take you directly to its Home section.
To access other Bind features, use the navigation menu inside Bind. Depending on the available options, you can navigate to sections such as:
Attendance.
Timetable.
Marks and grades.
If a section does not open or your information does not appear, refresh the page and try again.
5. The AI Panel Appeared by Itself
On a laptop or desktop, the AI panel may open automatically.
If you do not want to use it, close the panel. According to the current interface behaviour described for this update, it should remain closed for three days after you close it.
If the panel continues reopening unexpectedly, contact support with details about your browser and when the issue occurs.
6. Pressing Back Takes Me to the Previous Tab
This behaviour is intentional in the updated Chat experience.
When you use the Back action in Chat, it takes you back to the previous location rather than closing the entire application.
This is designed to make navigation more convenient when moving between different parts of CONNECT SRMAP.
If Back takes you to an unexpected page or you lose your place, tell us which page you were using before pressing it.
7. A Popup Opened Again
If a popup appears unexpectedly or keeps opening, please report it.
When contacting support, include:
The page where the popup appeared.
What you were doing immediately beforehand.
Whether the popup appeared once or repeatedly.
Any error message shown.
A safety check has been added to help handle certain popup-related situations, but your report can help us identify cases that still need attention.
8. My Attendance Looks Outdated
If your attendance appears old or has not refreshed:
Open Bind.
Refresh the relevant page.
If the refresh fails, wait approximately one minute.
Try refreshing again.
If the information still appears outdated, contact support and explain which attendance section is affected.
For official attendance and academic records, always refer to the university's official student portal: https://student.srmap.edu.in/
CONNECT SRMAP is an independent student-developed platform. Its displayed information should not replace official university records.
9. I See a Developer Tools Warning on the Login Page
If your browser's developer tools or Inspect panel is open, the login page may cover itself.
To check whether this is the cause:
Close the browser's Inspect or Developer Tools panel.
Return to the login page.
Refresh the page if necessary.
If the issue continues after closing the panel, contact support and describe what appears on your screen.
10. How to Contact CONNECT SRMAP Support
If you encounter an issue that is not covered in this guide, send an email to our support team.
To help us investigate the problem, include:
Page name: Where the issue occurred.
Action: What you were trying to do.
Error message: The exact message, if one appeared.
Time: Approximately when the issue happened.
Browser or device: If relevant to the problem.
Never include your password, one-time verification code, or other sensitive login information in your email.
