📌 Password Requirements

Minimum Length: Must contain at least 8 characters to prevent brute‑force attacks.

  • Must include at least one number.
  • Special characters are highly recommended.
  • Confirm Password field must perfectly match your chosen password.

⚙️ Updating Your Password

  1. Log into your dashboard and navigate to Account Settings.
  2. Enter your current active password first to verify ownership.
  3. Type and confirm your new password.
  4. Click Update Security Credentials.

⏰ Session Timeouts & Logouts

  • Sessions automatically expire after periods of total inactivity.
  • Always use the explicit Logout button when using public or friends' devices.
  • Never check "Remember Me" on shared computers or campus lab terminals.

⚠️ Important Notes

CONNECT SRMAP administration will never ask for your password via email or text.
  • Avoid reusing passwords that you use for your official university portal access.
  • Change your password immediately if you suspect someone else has seen your screen.
