📌 Overview

The CONNECT SRMAP Login System gives you secure access to your student account. Sign in with either your Register Number or your registered email address and your account password.

⚙️ How to Log In

  1. Open the CONNECT SRMAP Login page.
  2. Enter your Register Number or registered email address.
  3. Type your password and click Login.
  4. If your details are correct, you will be signed in and redirected to the appropriate page.
  5. If you were trying to access a protected page, you will be returned to that page after a successful login.

🔑 Login with Register Number

You can log in using your 11‑digit numeric Register Number. The system automatically adds the AP prefix when needed, so you do not have to type it manually.

📧 Login with Email

Use the email address that is registered with your CONNECT SRMAP account. Make sure it matches exactly.

📬 Email Verification

Your account must be verified before you can access CONNECT SRMAP. If your email is not verified, the login page will prompt you to complete verification. Check your inbox and spam/junk folders for the verification message.

🔁 Forgot Password

  1. Click the Forgot Password link on the login page.
  2. Follow the password recovery steps to reset your password.
  3. Never share your password or reset information with anyone.

✅ Login Success

After a successful login, CONNECT SRMAP creates a secure session that identifies your account. You may be taken directly to your dashboard or asked to complete required profile information first.

🔒 Protected Page Login

Some pages require you to be logged in. If you try to access one while logged out, you will see a Login Required page. After authenticating, you will be returned to the original page.

💾 Remembered Login

CONNECT SRMAP can remember your login fields in the browser for easier repeated access. Avoid using this feature on shared or public computers for security reasons.

❌ Login Errors

If the Register Number, email, or password is incorrect, an error message will appear. Repeated incorrect attempts may temporarily lock the account.

📄 Account Status

  • The account is under maintenance
  • The account has been suspended
  • Email verification is incomplete
  • The account has reached the failed‑login protection limit
  • The account is not eligible to access the platform
  • The account was recently deleted and is still within the waiting period

🗑️ Login After Account Deletion

If an account was recently deleted, the system will prevent the same details from being used again until the waiting period ends. After that, registration can proceed according to the rules.

🛡️ Login Security

🔐 Secure Session Cookies

  • HttpOnly session cookies prevent JavaScript access.
  • SameSite protection reduces unwanted cross‑site requests.

🔁 Session Protection

After authentication, the session ID is regenerated to guard against session‑fixation attacks.

⚠️ Login Attempt Protection

  • Failed attempts are tracked and can temporarily lock the account.
  • Attempts are also monitored by IP address for added protection.

🔒 Password Verification

Passwords are verified securely; never share them or any recovery codes.

🛡️ Security Headers

  • Clickjacking protection
  • MIME‑type sniffing protection
  • Cross‑site scripting safeguards
  • Referrer information control

📊 Login Activity

Login history records Register Number, Student Name, Time, IP, location, device, and browser information for account management.

🔑 Login Session

Upon login, a session is created and the current login time is recorded to identify you on protected pages.

🛡️ Secure Login Practices

Always use your own account, choose a strong unique password, avoid sharing credentials, and log out from shared devices. If you notice unusual activity, contact support immediately.
